cool pics eh. was out today celebrating my bros birthday with afew friends. was pretty grumpy in the morning due to the lack of sleep caused by yuan hao the night before. ha ha ha. got woken up by a call from a junior telling us 2 of our team mates couldnt make it for today's CAC due to stomach cramps and fever and that caused the rest to be penalized. how true if they're unwell i won't know. but then again, im utterly disappointed for such a thing to happen... for me, even with a fever i still made it for ndp training. cac's... well, its indoor, no sun, aircon... sigh, i cant expect too much i guess. anyways, though we lost, i still thought our teams did a marvelous job preparing and presenting, so a big congrats! :) afterall, its fmssrcy first year in this CAC.

had steam boat at hotel royal for lunch which caused a BIG hole in my wallet. glad i still had some time after that to make my way down to the CAC to check out on our teams before meeting up again with the gang at marina square to catch a movie. hey, marina square's awesome after the renovation there. cool place to chill, especially Centre Stage. ;) got a chance to preview this year's NDP at the padang. hanged about for awhile at esplanade walk to view the 21gun salute and the overhead flypasts (aawweessoommeee) before finding a place to have dinner. this year's NDP's so gonna rock. unlike last year's boring one. hah, its a good thing we didnt drive our parents car as the whole damn place was blocked up for the tanks and other vehicles to pass. hmmm, after seeing the endless lines of tanks and other armoured personels, could imagine how singapore would look like during a war... planes roaring above... tanks on the ground... we hiding in underground mrt stations... unbearable blasts... the westin stamford falling to the ground. wooahh.

[ Can't sleep! ]

alright its almost 4 in the morning but i still cant fall asleep! uurrgghh. just completed watching 2 of the 4 vcds i rented yesterday. american pie the weddings a good show. crude, uncencored, humour... = absolutely worth watching! :) looking forward to a friend's dance performance at kallang threatre tonight. after that yuan hao and kevin's sleeping over again. haha well yuan hao claims he needs to use my com for his history project but i bet he just wans to blog lar. crazy fellow. so do visit his updated blog tonight! (boy, its gonna be another looonngg entry... ) oh yes, how interesting... i realised theres a baby lizard hanging around in my toilet the past few days. it never fails to be on the shower door whenever i wana take a bath. cute little bugger. afterall it helps eat up all the flies there for me so i shan't kill it.

guess what i found on the school portal, more homework!!! grrr... its surprising to know i've finished more assignments than most of my classmates (hahas, not that im trying to boast, but you should know that a slacker like me getting my work done faster than others... hah thats amazing.) but anyways, incase YOU out there dont know, theres an A and E maths mock exam during the first 2 weeks of the new term. not forgetting theres cheena oral and listening, which happens to fall on the same day as our farewell "camp" and POP. sian. ok larh, better get some sleep already.

[ last week of school holidays ]

5 days left and its back to school! how exciting. looking back, the first two weeks were spent entirely on rc activities. the remaining two... well tried studying, but ended up slacking most of the time. :( got to spend abit more time with my family during the weekends. dinning out, and attended the pck musical last sat. it wasnt too bad lar. cant expect much when your seats' the cheapest and its all the way back. haha, it was entertaining though, but then again alots been on my mind lately... from the pile of homework i have left, deciding the next unit's committee, the results of chinese Os, experiencing the stress of the approaching prelims and Os... to even worrying about what jobs are gonna be available for me in the near future. not paranoid lar ok. so much for sec4 life. one thing's for sure, NO MORE RC AFFAIRS for me! well i hafta admit i am glad about it this time. haha cant believe im saying that. i guess i've been really drained out after the camp and a long rest will be good for me before i continue as a vi next year. but whether i would be able to come back to my unit would be another issue... haha but dont get the wrong idea, MY PASSION WILL NEVER DIE OUT SO EASILY... ;) time flies really fast huh. 3 more months to prelims, 5 to Os, then 6 months freedom! woohoo!

after one year of procestination i've finally got my desktop set up in my room, hoping it'll be of better use. installed a sound surround system and tv tuner to it with e lcd mounted to the wall, hah i think i wana lock myself up in my room for the rest of the week. YOs treated us to swensens earthquake just now while mr firhad is enjoying himself away with his girlfriend in KL. wahh, not bad seh, we got school holidays teachers also got. this type of job i also want leh. been chionging amaths for 6 hours today (5 chapters to go damn...) and can hardly open my eyes now... so off to sleep! chill.

What is up with the how "moii" thing? Moi is afrench word - stop abusing that word, lest the french invade. Do you actually use that word in your real life conversations? Do you know how to pronounce it? And if you do, it's not "mu-oi".It's "muah", you moron.

I merely want you all to change for the better of not only the country, but for your own sake too. But hey, read on. [ Home Alone ]

spent the last few days working out, catching up with maths, doing the housework and cooking (surprising eh?) well thats cause my maid still isnt back. tried out afew new dishes but hah my mom and bro would never try any of them. went to west coast park yesterday for a PA gathering BBQ. wahh plenty of food to eat, which only forced me to go jogging this afternoon. got entertained by the rest's latest gossips and critisms (harmless ones larh yah). then we came across the topic about "kids" yes kids. ever wondered how much a kid can make an impact on lives... used to have a teacher who was a sadist and rides a bike to school. after having his first kid, hah well the bike was replaced with a family car and... he SEEMDED a nicer person. hahas. even changed school cause he wanted to be nearer to home. wondered what i'll be like with kids. but owell thats a long road ahead. for now, at least with redcross out of my mind, i do wish to spend more time with god, my family and studies. was watching globe trekkers on tv and found out that the outbacks of taipei is just as attractive as Australia! para-gliding, hiking, set raises/sets among the moutains, food... urgh, so dying to go there! anyone interested? heehee. damn, which bastard is sick enough to chop up a body, pack them into nice boxes and leave them along the kallang river... imagine wakeboarding and suddenly a head flops up onto your board. arrghh! gross. hope they'll find the one responsible for this soon.

[ Back from camp ]

just got home from camp and really shagged, but a feeling of great satisfaction. a total of 6 hours of sleep in 3 nights, limited food and tremendous amount of physical training was indeed a challenge. but again, nothings impossible. for the first time i did not get entirely involved in every matter of the camp. not that i wished to slack, but cause i felt i have done enough and should give my fellow ncos and sec3s a chance to run this camp. and indeed they sure did a good job in organizing and managing it. though training may be extremely tough to some, i hope that the cadets will understand that only when one pushes him/her self to the limits, will one see him/herself raising as a leader; doing things that were once thought impossible, such as the 10km hike, survival cooking and pushing our bodies over the boundaries despite the little rest we got. i expect to hear much complains from parents very soon, but so be it. its sad to know how parents these days pamper their kids so much that many dont get a chance to get themselves out of the comfort zone and challenge themselves to overcome greater obstacles. the worst thing we can do is to please others and compromise training for welfare. as what vincent sir would say. "how can we expect trees to grow if we were to always keep them under shelter?" what greater joy could an instructor have than to see our juniors becoming greater leaders than us, achieving more and doing things better than we did. though ironically old masters in ancient china wouldnt pass all of their skills to their apprentice in fear that they might one day surpass them. hence, after centuries of such mentality, valuable skills are lost; the will to explore new frontiers dies off. for me, this camp was a really meaningful one. not only did i see my juniors taking on leadership roles and instilling in themselves better discipline, but i've discovered something more for myself. if the rest had notice, i was doing much of the upfront leading on the first day. while getting down to cook, clean, helping out with the fnb and serving the rest on the second, therefore furfilling the motto of the SWO, "TO LEAD AND TO SERVE." after 2 whole weeks of intense meetings, plannings, recces and of course the camp itself, it finally comes to an end. after 4yrs of cadet life and a yr of being a nco, my job is done. though my job may be done, but never my duty.

last but not least, thanks to all the ncos especially the fnb team, VIs, WOTs and not forgetting the cadets for their part in making this camp a splendid success! you rock!

[ Starwars mania ]

visited toys r us with hidayat and enshao yesterday. went there hoping to get one of those star wars light sabers. came accross this basic one which cost 24 bucks, but there wasnt any light in it. there was the other one we were looking for which was quite long and comes with light and sound (wow how exciting!). it costs 69bucks and too bad there was only one left :( ... so we decided not to buy it. just admit it larh all of us still has that kid in us and we gotta let him out to play sometimes. ha ha.

my father left for europe and my maid went back home and wont be back til end of this month. aww, its a pity my mom didnt go along with my dad. then my bro will be staying in his camp and i'll have the whole house to myself!

finally went for a swim and to the gym today after all the busy schedule i've been having for the past one month. must train up then i can tekan the campers with PT next week! muahaha. yes i know you're thinking that i look much fatter now. cant help it lar, i just kept feeling hungry while studying for chinese Os. but hopefully i'll lose quite some weight after this week of camps. haha. anyways, will be away from tuesday to saturday. oyes, ex fmssrcy cadets please take note that you're invited for our campfire this friday 7pm so please try to come!

[ guidelines for a new president?? ]

thank god its friday! what a week... sleepless nights, taxi rides, staring at my com and typing, going for meetings, aops... finally managed to complete my proposal, though theres small stuff here and there to add in during the next few days. got kevin and yuanhao to stay over at my place on tuesday to complete our proposals throughout the entire night, or rather morning. well, after the hardcore planning and recceing, whats left is to brush up on my "sadistcity"!

if you've been reading the papers you'll come accross this article about the guidelines for a new singaporean president. it states that you gotta be some chairman or CEO for at least three years in a company and blah blah... damn, there goes my chance. imagine me as your president. i'll legalise pirated vcds and dvds. does chairman of fmssrcy count anyways? LOL. i'll be working towards being a humanities teacher (the next steve ow) and YO of fmssrcy. then i'll rock the unit with nothing but corporal punishment and PT. hmmm i like the thought of that! ha ha ha.

[ deaf and mute? ]

hiked a total of about 12km today doing our recce for our training camp to be held next thursday. haha i shouldn't say the locations incase my juniors were to see =p. its really exhausting when you don't get enough sleep the night before and made to exert your body the next... well though it was extremely exhausting, we sure had our share of fun. discovered quite afew cool and romantic places around central singapore. the esplanade's a really nice place to visit after sun down. the ambience, music and night scenery just so rocks! especially when you have yer good friends around to talk cock with. had dinner at lao pa sat with ph sir and kev. while we were eating peacefully, a woman came up to us with a card stating that shes deaf and mute. and yeah, like you have seen before, she was selling these stuffed dolls. well, we politely turned her down. poh huat sir told us of this time an angmor guy came up to him with the same card and selling the same stuff. he walked away and poh huat sir shouted, "how much?!" guess what. he turned around and answered "five dollars!" haha so much for blind and mute. was at jurong point once and a woman came up to me selling this "robocop kinda torch" for 10bucks and saying its for charity. don't know how true it is, but some of these people actually get 70% of the money they managed to raise. what bullshit... so do make sure you know where your money's going to the next time you donate to such charities and don't get cheated!
